MPEG Joiner

January 24th, 2020

When I go to join the files, I get this message.
Warning: audio bitrates part1 (256 bps) and part2 (96 bps) is different. Do you want to join?
Is this normal? The program I use is BoilSoft.

Answer #1
I think if you try to join them the 2nd part’s audio will be recoded to match the 1st
think boilsoft apps have a mark in & out so try joining just a few minutes before the break and a few after the break to see if it works
Answer #2
BoilSoft is the program that doesn’t re-encode, right? I asked before but nobody answered.
Answer #3
Somebody must know the answere! Is the joiner made by BoilSoft the one that doesn’t re-encode the files?
Answer #4
For MPEG files you could always try TMPEnc (found in apps).
Answer #5
Does it re-encode the files?
Answer #6
I think boilsoft recodes when necessary but not always, been a while since I used it
mpeg2vcr by womble will do direct stream copy if streams are compatable, otherwise it recodes them to match
it’s in appz section
it’s the best MPEG joiner I’ve found
TMPEnc will join MPEG parts but I don’t think it’s frame acurate like MPEG2VCR

Thanks, I also came across another good one by Allok Soft.
Fast AVI MPEG Joiner is an easy-to-use tool for joining several AVI or MPEG files into bigger one.
Because the program does not recompress the video files, the audio and video of the output video file do not have any quality loss. And the joining speed is extremely fast.
Fast AVI MPEG Joiner only can join the video files of the same type. Only the video files, which have same resolution, video codec and audio parameters, can be joined.
