Mouse curser doesn’t work sometimes (help needed)

Hi.. I am having some annoying problem with my mouse. The mouse cursor doesn’t work and lags sometimes and then everything remains motionless . Then I have to restart the PC. This cursor problems happens 2-3 times daily and everytime i have to restart my computer to get things to work.This is really killing me.My PC was scanned and it removed 2 Trojans so i don’t think I have virus problems. I have Bitdefender 2010 software.
This cursor problem also happens when I switch to headphone from woofer.
It remains motionless. I am tired of rebooting the PC.
Is there any solution for this problem?

try reformatting your pc..maybe infected by virus or trojan…

Do you have wireless mouse? Did you try other usb port?

Just in case you should run Malwarebytes, there could be more infected files on your system:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/
If your mouse is connected via USB, make sure all the controllers are updated.
