Merging DVD Files

January 23rd, 2020

Hi there,
I have recently started burning some of my dvd’s so i have backups on my pc but they come out in three files in a .vob and there about 1gb each format and yet whenever i download a movie its always in a file thats about 700mb or so, and i was wondering how do they get them into just the one file. any and all help will be appreciated. Thanks

ok well ifs its 700MB i guess its like a avi format in which case ou will have to convert it into dvd format aka VOB which will amke it like 3gB so that you can play it on your dvd player. I use nero recode if i want to do that, Now you may have a dvd player that plays divx files in which case you can burn like 5-8 700MB avi files to one dvd and watch them on your dvd player

You could use DVDFab 6 using the DVD to Mobile(generic) option…
Or you could use the apps. and method suggested here..to rip the movie..

Location: Local area network in Australia...... The LAN Down Under..
I must be getting tired cause I just cracked up when I read that………Sorry for getting off topic

Or you could always use convert X to DVD which will still give you your VOB files (and hence play on your DVD player if it doesnt support divx) however there is a part in options in which you can change the size it converts to ie choose a custom setting that is smaller than the average dvd size (which is generally around 4G) however there is always the possibility that you will loose some quality in doing this.

that’s standard DVD format
something like AutoGK can convert to AVI format (700mb)

I think you have done all you can…
You can’t put menus, extras and that sort of thing in an avi file…
Of course if they are tv show episodes or whatnot, them make a separate file for each..

Ok well I had some spare time on my hands so I read up on some programs that do this on google. From what I can gather this one is something like what you will need/
