Try finding a setting to disable it for a time period, in Norton options or settings.
Answer #6
Heh thats gonna be hard, most antiviruses are built never to be shut down.
So that no viruses shut down antivirus and make their way in.
So try preventing it from starting?
SpybotS&D is usefull, it remembers and can put them back in one klick..
Most other software dont remember them, and there you go! Startup lost! Thats gonna be reinstall then.
So install Spybot S&D and well, in the advanced mode you can manage startup of system.
Do not remove any system startup items tho. You should ofcourse also remove S&D from startup itselve, uses much memory. It does watch the registry quite well(TeaTimer-a part of it), those can be shut down easily tho. And if your finished gaming you can startup the prog, bring Mcafee`s startup items back, and reboot.
