Mafia II problem

July 31st, 2016

Hello boys/girls,
I have recently installed on my laptop Mafia 2 ’cause I was excited to play it.
But looks like there’s a problem. When I’m in the game everything it’s so bright, and it’s not caused by the brightness option in the game.
I have also posted some pictures to explain better what’s happening.

How can I fix this?
I have an Acer Aspire 5940G laptop with Ati Mobility Radeon 4650.The game works perfect at high details. I have tried changing all the details from high to low but nothing seems to work.
UPDATE: Maybe a patch will fix the problem.
Can anyone post the links for 1.01 patch and 1.02 and so on until the latest version?
I tried to install the latest patch and it sayid I need older ones first but I can’t find older ones.
Thanks!

I think you’ve used the dodgy crack – it makes your health drop to almost nothing, which causes the B/W death effect.
Search the games section for: Mafia.II.Crackfix-SKIDROW

Well, I’m using the SKIDROW crack right now. And sometimes it gets to normal for a few seconds and then back glowing.

Are you definitely using the Crackfix? Their first crack had lots of problems.

just to be 100% sure, can anyone post here a link to the crack fix for mafia 2? I can’t find it..
UPDATE: I did find it on .org of course

I noticed you found the crackfix in the games section, did it work properly for you?

Nope. It doesn’t change anything.
And I have found something else. When I get punched I go down and I can’t go up again. The character just stays there and nothing happens. I have to restart the mission to play again.

Hmm, that is strange. Have you tried a fresh install of Mafia 2 using the crackfix? I would also backup your saves, and try starting a new game to see if it still happens. The problem with the old crack used to start at chapter 2 I think.

Everytime I loaded the game it showed up bad with that glow.
I have also installed an update that I have found on .org and started a new game. Now it seems that it works well(no more glowing) but I haven’t received a punch yet to see if I still play dead:))
Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.

I thought the game was suppose to be like this because you got shot in the war and are getting over the injury. In my game, it was like this for the first part of the game but then it just went away and health went up to max…it actually made the game interesting rather than having full health the whole time imo

I was way past the war part and with full health and that glow thing kept going on. IMO

I don’t need to install the latest Physx ’cause now it’s all good.
