Mac OS X to Snow Leopard upgrade

October 11th, 2017

Hi there,
I am currently using Mac OS X 10.5.8 on my MBP. The Snow Leopard upgrade, is that just an upgrade of the complete OS or is it an add-on.
I’m new to Mac and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards, Nam.

its kind of both i think … i think i upgraded once from 10.4 to 10.5 with an dvd … and everything was like it was before … but some programs crashed (but i think that was because i put leopard on a powerbook although leopard was supposed to run on intel)
since it’s apple we’re talking about i think you can never be sure what things really do .. you should be fine with just upgrading, although i think i would recommend a clean install (especcially if you used your os for a longer peroiod of time) because your hard drive is probably very fragmented which slows your laptop down … a lot ..

It just a small update to make the os faster and some new stuff that is not so important.
Answer #3
It’s an upgrade, better support for 64 bit software, some few extra’s…
Might as well install it, you can just upgrade it, all settings, files and other stuff will still be there after the upgrade. Upgrade takes +- 40 minutes.
