Lost windows 7 OS i have the key where do i get the OS from?

i got a new laptop and had windows home basic i changed it to ultimate now and unfortunaltely i lost my windows OS cd
from where do i get it now??? pls help
The key is written on the Microsoft sticker which is on the underside of your laptop.
If your key was for Home Premium it will not work for Ultimate.
You can get the CD off here 
Just look for an untouched copy

Please search in the “application” section and download…..
I don’t think it’s as simple as downloading a copy and using the key…OEM system need an offlinre activation…$oem$ folder need to be integrated in the iso which includes the key and certificates…

i disagree as I downloaded a copy of XP for my netbook after trying Windows 7 which ran slow as I do not have enough ram. Used the key from the sticker on the bottom and NO problem.

i think he said the long version of “it might work”
but on topic i think your windows basic key won’t work for ultimate..
