Is telephone wire delicate?

Well I’ve been putting it under the carpet and crap like that, just wondering if its all twizzled up will it affect speed or performance or reliability?
Will there be data loss? I dont think its snapped or anything, its just Ive been knocing it around Cheers.
it could mess up in the long run,
why don’t you use the plastic wire tracking,
its the plastic tracking you stick along the wall and it keeps the wires out of the way.

it is fairly robust but the dragging of heavy furniture over it whilst under the carpet could cause damage
