Iphone/Ipod Touch/Ipad… Need help…Jailbreak

I am really really a noob in this field.
however, I had as a gift for my birthday an Ipad and ipod touch from apple (new york)
Since it’s the first time for me to touch them, I don’t know where to start?
I tried to find games from here, then it says some words I don’t really understand
-JAILBREAK
– CRACKED APPZ
Before moving and making a step forward what should I do?
how do I know if my Ipod/ipad is jailbroken?
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING I WANT TO DO IS DOWNLOAD APPZ AND GAMES FROM HERE AND INSTALL THEM.
PLEASE? CAN ANYONE HELP ME?

Cracked apps – well that is obvious… you don’t have to pay for those apps because they are cracked (like everything else)

If device is brand new.. then it’s not jailbroken!

You need to tell me (us) what device you have (model) and what firmware (go to Settings –> General –> About and look under VERSION)
