version of Red Alert 3. Everything worked flawlessly but it kept prompting me to update, and one of the times I accidentally clicked on Update instead of Cancel.
So once the update installed when I tried to open the game it asked for a CD Key. I tried the reloaded crack (although the installation instructions were very vague and didn’t make that much sense) and it didn’t work. So I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it and it is STILL asking for a CD key. So I clicked on check for updates, and it said there are none. So apparently after uninstalling, it left the update behind?
Any fix for this? It is really frustrating since I had it working perfectly!

Answer #1
If you installed again..Use Your Uninstaller to uninstall it..and reinstall again…
Answer #2
I did the uninstall – reinstall 3 times already.
Answer #3
Try to delete the folder after u uninstall.
Cheers
Answer #4
Use the program “Uninstaller” to uninstall Red Alert.
This way it deletes the relevent parts in the registry. In a way this makes the computer forget that you had it previously installed before, so hopefully you should not have to enter the CD key.
Answer #5
Yes, I DID that. I didn’t just delete it, I UNINSTALLED it.
There must be something that it is not removing that was downloaded with the update, since even when installing it from the original image again it still acts like the updated version.
Answer #6
ok try this method.Use Your uninstaller (once again) and remove it. Then download CCleaner and do a registry scan to remove any other associated reg files. Your Uninstaller removes most but not all the registry files
