i need a 2nd burner, after some advice

August 4th, 2016

its gotten to the point where 1 burner is far from enough, thus meaning i need a second
i have 1 ide port in my pc and 2 sata
the ide has the master taken by my 115D but the slave is empty
the sata ports are both taken, 1 by a 160gb hdd that runs windows, holds files ect. the 2nd has a 1tb hdd full of ISO’s.
i also have my via sata card which has 2 spare ports internaly and 1 of them has my cable for flashing drives on.
my question is, what would be my best move, 1 more ide so they share the chanel or a sata running from my VIA card.
any help apreciated, need to buy 1 tmoz realy

samsung SH-S223Q
got one of these, very good drive
and SATA is the way to go as the 2 IDE drives would battle for bandwidth as I assume you want to burn with both at the same time
would i encounter any problems with it running off a pci sata card?
no problems that I know of
Answer #9
yea, i have a lot of stuff to burn and 1 just isnt enough anymore so need 2 at a time.
thanks mate, big help
if i do run into a problem i supose i could move the 1tb hdd with my 360 games on to my pci card, i know it works as when i 1st got it i needed to use the pci card to move the files from 500gb to 1tb

You should get another Pioneer DVD burner, get DVR-117.
Pioneer has proven to have good burn results shown by benchmarks.
