how to use a DVI cable?
February 8th, 2020
how can i make it work?? i am on windows 7 and it did work for windows vista but not for xp
which modi are the card and the monitor supporting ? ^
DVI-D (digital only)
DVI-A (analog only)
DVI-I (integrated, digital & analog)
i think my screen(ag neovo m-17) is dvi-d
i dont know about my video card (msi 4850 t2d512)
is there more that one plug on the back of the monitor
if so then you may have to select “input type” in the monitor’s OSD options
yes i do that but then it says no input and it goes back to vga
you have both connected ? VGA & DVI
yes
Try another cable. See if you got DVI > VGA adapter and use it on DVI port with VGA cable. If it works you’ll know the cable is a problem or the DVI port of the monitor
disconnect the VGA one then
see if you can force the card to output DVI
and it did work for windows vista
you'll know the cable is a problem
that was with the same cable in vista that it worked
yes i used the same cable but i have all drivers installed from the cd…
all drivers installed from the cd
try updating to the latest ATI drivers

4850 is your card model so 4800 series under “radeon” is what you want
yes i see the “4800 series” everywhere on my pc(in games,…) so i have the latest drivers…
