How to turn off windows microphone boost?

Hey guys I recently installed battlefield 2142 and it enabled windws microphone boost. But now my microphone isn’t picking up anything so its prretty muhc useless. I tried disabling it from the bf2142 voice setup but when I save and close the settings change back so that doesn’t work. I tried uninstalling bf2142 but that still didnt work. I tried reinstalling, nothing.
So how can I disbale the mic boost…I need my mic to work for skype

In Master Volume, Go to Mic Volume, and Click Advanced, and uncleck 1. Microphone Boost

Could you direct me to Master Volume? Is it like the volume control? In that case I clicked advance but did not find an option to turn off mic boost.

Yes, It’s in Volume control. If you can’t see it. Go to Volume Control –> Options –> Properties –> check Mic Volume and it will appear. then click advanced in Mic Volume and uncleck 1. Microphone Boost

Oh great apperently Mic Boost wasn’t the problem, some other option, Mic2 Select was… I unchecked that and now everything is working. Thanks guy!
