How to remove restriction passcode lock? IP4S

January 29th, 2020

I don’t know the passcode lock for my 4s. What can I do? I backed up from my latest backup but the passcode lock is there. What I mean by passcode lock is the restriction passcode lock in general. How can I remove that passcode without restoring my iphone fully because I don’t want to lose my photos or my contacts.

You’ll have to do full restore, no other way. Your pics should have backs up to cloud.

Answer #7
a jailbreak would completely reset the phone & remove and/or reconfigure any locks. thats why i asked. but again: best bet is some apple-wiz at a store

Did Mom and Dad lock down your phone?
The purpose of iPhone restrictions is to lock certain functions of the device. They are also referred to as Parental Controls, capable of hiding songs with explicit lyrics, preventing YouTube from running, etc.
Without the four-digit passcode restrictions can't be changed. If you have forgotten your restrictions passcode you must restore your iPhone using iTunes to reset the passcode. When asked, do not restore the iPhone from backup, otherwise the old passcode you don't know will be enabled.
After restoring as a new iPhone the Parental Controls are reset to default and the passcode disabled.

Answer #9
Dont think you can remove the ‘Restrictions’ passcode lock, without restoring.
I had the same problem recently but I just noted down all the passcodes it could be and tried (and crossed off) them all before I finally got it

Got tired of getting wrong 11 times… so I just restored my iphone. Good thing I backed up everything manually without itunes.
