[How to?] Play downloaded games on PS3

I would really like to know how to adapt my playstation 3 so I can play all these -DUPLEX games that are avaiable for download.
I’ve been searching a while and all I can find is downgrade or use that version, or your PS3 has to be older then date x etc..
But is there anyone who can describe it step by step on how to do this? I would be forever grateful!
