How to make an Avatar?

How do you put up an avatar under your account name?
Mine came up with a red X in tinypic.com and imageshack.com.

It has to meet the width, height, and size requirements then sometimes you just have to wait. It took a day or so for mine to pop up.

Thanks. I had already made it the correct size and satisfied the requirements. I just got mislead by the notice of 2mins waiting time for the avatar to update that the forum said.
-Waits a day.

It’s been a week or two and my avatar is still not available…what can I do?

Upload it to a imagehost like tinypic and paste the direct link to the image on you profile where it says “Link to off-site Avatar:”.

PM a mod with pic and they will doit for you.

make it in a program like photoshop and than upload it to a filehost like tinypic or something or upload it from your pc to

Two ways;
1> Go to your profile , Go to bottom Click Browse then upload.
2> PM a Mod , They will be glad to do it for you

Just upload avatar to TInyPic and copy direct link into profile ( at the bottom you will see link to off site avatar )

Thanks everyone!!! I managed to do it by myself with no help from a mod.
On my previous (and failed) attempt I inputted the direct link into “Upload from a URL”, that’s why it didn’t work.
Link to off-site avatar works! Thanks a lot.
