there is no lock system for pendrives afaik. You may try encryption software instead.

Yeah, Truecrypt is an excellent choice!
You can use it in two ways:
1. Fully encrypt your flash drive (Truecrypt would have to be installed on the PCs your gonna
be using it on) Do note however that this will put your flash drive at risk for accidental format
if your not careful enough! (Windows will not recognize the file system when it’s unmounted and you’ll be prompted to format it if you try to access it as-is) 2. Create a container (A large encrypted file that will be used like any ordinary partition once mounted) with this method, You could also include Truecrypt on your flash drive (It supports command-line parameters, So you could easily script it in batch for automation) Anyways, Better backup your data first to be on the safe side, And remember, If you lose
your password, There are no backdoors! Be sure to pick a password you can memorize and don’t write it down on paper! Also, You’d be best using a password that is at least 20 characters long which contains a mix of lowercase/uppercase/special chars or numbers. Another option (If you got a really bad memory) is to use a shorter password in combination with keyfiles (I suggest using 2 or more) that way, Both the password & keyfiles would be needed to mount the container (And it’d have the same strength as a long password) a keyfile can be any file of your choosing or a randomly generated one. But of course, If using keyfiles, You should not make it too obvious (I.E only have the 2 keyfiles+container on the FD) better have loads of files of the same type on the FD (I.E MP3s/Pictures) and just pick a few of em as keyfiles and remember which ones. Goodluck!
