How to know if video card is Dual DVI
November 1st, 2013
I’ve read up on the DVI splitter for a bit and herd that my video card needs to be able to output a Dual DVI signal in order for the DVI splitters to work…. how would I check if my video card supports this function?
I have a ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series but all it says on the site is that it has Dual DVI inputs and nothing about Dual DVI signals.
check this link

I think what you need is digital DVI DUAL LINK which most are these days and I would be shocked if a ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series has only DVI SINGLE LINK
think the only way to tell is finding the spec on the exact card (brand & model)
get GPU-Z and post a screen shot

dont you have a “direct port” for multi monitors with ATI?
You don’t say quite what you got, but a HD4850 definitely says dual link DVI..

This confirms it..

If you have a dual link DVI port, then you can use a splitter cable to feed two monitors…Read the reviews for this one..
Remember that both pictures will be a clone of each other..
