How to dual boot Mac os x on windows 7?

January 27th, 2020

I downloaded ‘Mac os x for PC’ and found out that it wipes everything off of my PC so i don’t want to do that and don’t have an external HDD to back up my things on.
I have Windows 7 at the moment and want to install Mac os x on it, i’ve seen lots of videos on youtube of people doing it the other way around (installing windows 7 on a Mac) but never this way. I don’t know if its possible, but the smart people on here will know.
Thanks.

Answer #1
It is possible but I wouldn’t recommend it. For starters, you have to have specific hardware otherwise it won’t work. Even if you do get it installed, you won’t be getting the full Mac/OSX experience.
Answer #2
But if I install mac first and then put windows 7 on i will? or won’t i?
I have quite good specs on this PC though.

You won’t get the same experience. One thing that makes Macs great is that Apple create the hardware and the software which makes the system run flawlessly. I used OSX on my friend’s PC and it felt a lot different to the way it does on my Mac.

Unlike Windows which supports everything ok.
Answer #6
Although it won’t run as smoothly, I still want to try it out. I know i won’t be getting the full experience of a mac, but I will have a small idea.
Can someone please tell me how to do it.
Thanks.

try one of these
Paragon Drive Backup Server v10.0.9105 Advanced Recovery CD based on WinPE ISO-rG
or
Paragon.Backup.and.Recovery.v10.0.Suite.Advanced.recovery.CD.based.on.WinPE.2.1.iSO.GERMAN-rG
I “think” I have seen exactly this option in one of the above versions that can easily setup this task for you automatically
namely: install a 2nd (macosx) besides winos while starting from paragon winpe
cheers

I remember setting up a partition about 2 months ago ready to install mac os x
(I downloaded from http://www.google.com?t=3672807&start=0 )
And when i went to install it on the other partition, it wouldn’t let me install it on that partition and it was greyed out and said that I needed to erase ALL of the hard drive and then i would be able to do it, I had 3 years of files on my PC and chickened out and just restarted, windows 7 didn’t start and I had lost ALL of my files, I was very angry and just decided to install Windows 7 again.
So I need to know what to do step by step so this doens’t happen again.

Double post.
Answer #10
1. having no backup is one thing…………
2. besides that (paragon soft) and others like eg: runtime getdataback, etc. will easily recover formatted disks in no time
(once i fully recovered a raid 0 array and only lost about 5-10% of my data… luckily-.-)
3. again, have a look at the feature list of both winpe versions i have posted above…
http://www.paragon-software.com/products/home/
and search the forum for each release
I am not sure but i think there is a special task that will configure all necessary steps for you automatically once you start into winpe
4. … search for vmware or virtualbox and give ur task “a virtual try”
so the most appropriate solution to your problem, in my view, is to forget about the dual boot option as you may run into problems (again)… so take a look at #4, get one of the applications and test macosx virtually. additionally, you will find some virtual images of macosx’s in this forum which are “ready to use”… just plug (mount) & play
cheers
