how do i turn off the screen in laptops?

How do i turn off the screen on a laptop to save power without putting it into hibernation or sleep mode?

i’ve never had a laptop before, but i don’t think it’s possible. the only way to turn off a screen for a PC/LAPPY is to put it into hibernation.

you can go to power settings. and from there turn off the screen after X amount of mins

So I take it you’ve never actually pressed the “power” button on your monitor on a PC?
Also, for a laptop, The screen would turn off after a set period of time unless you want to close or “fold” your laptop. Closing it is like “Standby” on a PC, whereas when you open it, you still have everything that you previously opened or have opened before. When you open it, it’s similar to turning it on, and it still has everything as stated in the previous sentence. Although.. closing it is still running, and it never really shut off.

go to power option and click choose wen to turn of the display…that wat it is on win7 anyway….
