How 2 rip Blu-ray discs to MKV files?

August 9th, 2019

I would like to create MKV files from some of my blu-ray movies/tv shows, to playback in my KMPlayer to make (continuous) screen captures, I have tried MakeMKV and it only creates AVCHD video files, which nothing on my computer plays back. Unless there’s something I’m missing with MakeMKV (because hello! look at it’s name LOL)
Is there another freeware that blu-ray rippers, on this forum, use to rip your blu-ray discs to create watchable MKV files?
Any help would be appreciated! Thank you so much!

and AnyDVD
no he can’t. Anydvd doesn’t rip to MKV. Anydvd rips full disc only. CloneBD however can, in combination with Anydvd to decrypt

What you can do is rip with MakeMKV and then you convert with Handbrake to mkv..

And as it says, AnyDVD could be used instead of MakeMKV to rip it to the hard drive.
DVDFab is a more or less a one click wonder, that should do the trick too.
So I think all of us are all right! so let’s hope it works
