360 not reading discs every time

I have a modded 360 and i have to eject and insert discs in several times to get them to run. I usually get Unreadable Disc or crap like that.
I’m going to open it up tomorrow and clean the laser with a q-tip and alcohol. Any other suggestions other than replacing stuff?

Maybe you modded your Xbox wrong, If you used a modchip, try taking it out and clean it. If that doesn’t work, i don’t think i can help you.

It was a software mod and i did not do it had someone else with much experience do it. I’m just looking for advice on other stuff i can try to clean while the xbox is opened up other than cleaning the laser?

Clean the disk reader and disks. That usually solves a lot of errors

Disks are brand new no scratches on them. Going to clean the laser but what do you mean by clean the disk reader?
