Help rooting a phone

August 5th, 2016

Hello everyone,
So the Army decided I needed to spend a year in South Korea. I gave my iPhone to my daughter and picked up a Samsung Android phone when I arrived here. This phone is full of so much useless crap and does not have much memory. I’ve tried to download a few easy to use rooting tools, but Eset keeps picking them up as Trojans and I am afraid to run them. I have been using iOS for many years and know very little about android. Could someone help get me in the right direction?
Thank you

You can start by telling us what Samsung phone?
Also go over at xda and look for your phone model. They will have root program and things like that for you from developer themself.

Its a Samsung SHV-E220S. Box says Samsung Galaxy POP. I’ll check out that website, thank you.

I searched but could not find anything much about the Samsung Galaxy Pop SHV-E220.
It only directed me to the XDA forum about Samsung Mini. Dont know if its the same product.
