Help me to create a website.
August 12th, 2013
At first I started a blog at google blogger, than i thought of getting a custom domain & I registered for custom domain through my blogger setting. Google registered my domain at GoDaddy.com
But I was not knowing that even though I register for custom domain through blogger i cannot use it to develop it as a website. It is still a blog. (Correct me if I am wrong, & also tell how to develop it as a website).
Also if I need to develop a website which place is good to register a domain. How should I go ahead developing my website.
I know Artisteer & Dreamweaver softwares will be helpfull to develop a website.
Thanks in advance.
You must have a basic knowledge about hosts, domains & programming languages, without that you cannot build a site.
Buy some hosting, install wordpress, choose a nice wordpress theme. It nearly is that easy, but there is plenty of more info just a quick google search away

http://ezinearticles.com/?How-to-Transfer-a-Domain-Name-Registered-With-Google-to-a-GoDaddy-Account&id=1520109
it’s a tutorial on how to transfer a domain that was registered by google to godaddy
after you have done so you can use different methods to point your domain to your webspace
I have a server set up in my garage…. I have a godaddy DNS, and I run my own namerservers/dynamic DNS and whatnot…
So you will need a few things…
Hosting…
Either pay a company like godaddy or networksolutions to host your web site for you…
Or
Host it yourself, which will require much more set up and work…
If you want to host it yourself, You need the hardware to run the web site 24/7, so something that can stay turned on…
you need a Domain name, and a static IP address (Or, your dynamic IP address updating your domain name with your current IP)
oh and a domain name, is only a name that resolves to an IP, and the other way around… nothing more….
If you have a domain name, you have a domain name, it can be used for any web site, blog, or whatever….
