Help Installing Xp / Vista from HDD

Here’s the situation..
Suppose,
1. Drive C:/ is the primary drive which has no OS.
Drive D:/ is where have the XP / Vista Setup in ISO/Extracted Format.
2. DVD-Rom Doesn’t work.
3. Booting options availiable: HDD & USB
Now how can I install XP / Vista from HDD??
Also if I want to make a Dual Boot OS, how can I do it from HDD??

I have tried with my friend’s PC… no hope… it wont work!!!
Try to get DVD ROM there is no other way!!!

Install from a USB stick:

Or get a dvd burner for like 50$

well… i read the article… one thing not clear…
it says I have to delete all partitions of HDD… That would be a problem as i dont want to lose my files…. is it possible to avoid it ???

just borrow an external dvd drive or a 4GB pen drive. it works like a charm.
and yes don’t forget to take your back up first.
