Help extracting last .rar file in group

Hi gang,
I’m using WinRar to extract a group of 41 files.
I enter the password and the first 40 files unpack .. then I get an error on #41:
“CRC failed; Wrong Password?”
This has happened to me with 6 other groups of files also.
Any ideas?

Im not 100% sure, but maybe try downloading that last part again, because it might of been corrupt. And also I suggest maybe double/triple checking your usinf the right password. Make sure theres no spaces before or after the password

Perhaps getting the newest version of WinRar might help. You can easily get it by searching the forum for it or just grabbing it from this link:

Also, make sure that you are in fact, typing in the correct password for the files. One more thing that I thought was worth mentioning is that downloading several different link sets does not work most of the time as few links are actually interchangeable, ergo, most of the time downloading the links from the same source prudent. Make sure that you download all the links from one topic and that you’re not mixing different links from different topics, be it as it may that you are downloading the same thing. Good luck mate ^_^

Thanks, I’ll try that. However, if the password was wrong, wouldn’t it fail for
part 1 as well?

As I said not too sure sorry But its worth giving it a go. Is it like said and you downloaded the last part from somewhere other than the original post, or from another set of links?? Good luck

Yeah try downloading it again then extracting I’ve had the same problem on a few different files but fixed it by redownloading the file it fails on.

I re-downloaded part 41 but got the same result. I will try the same with
the other groups too. Might get lucky.

I’ll say it now…redownloading the last part of your downloads won’t help anything. It might be a problem with one of the files and youwon’t know which. The error that says that you get a CRC error on the last file does not mean that it is a problem with it. Have you tried the solutions that I offered above? Good luck mate ^_^
