HDMI Software

Hi. Im using HDMI cable to watch tv through laptop and everything that I do on computer its shown on TV because the HDMI cable is conected. Is there any software that would help me separate these things so I can play tv program through laptop to tv and at the same time use the laptop for other stuff so its not going to confront. Yeah disconnect the hdmi cable. The moment you plug it in it sends the signal from the laptop screen to the tv and blanks out there laptop screen.

Look in your graphic card settings. It is now set to “clone”‘ you want to use the “extended desktop”‘ then you have two screens and can drag different windows on the the screens, including using a media player on the other screen while surfing the net on the first screen etc.

fn + f4 on most laptops will give you the option of changing your outputs. Set it to Extend Display. If that doesn’t work, you’ll have the option in your display settings.
