Greek? Writing Translation

A friend of mine found this writing on the ceiling in our really old Greek restaurant we work at, can anybody decipher this? I think its Greek but I looked at the Greek alphabet in wikipedia and couldn’t really match the letters very well. This would really mean a lot to me if somebody could help me out! now that i remember that building didn’t turn into a restaurant untill 1954.. and it was a grocery store before that.. jim, do you know greek? or are you just kidding around
