He might not have a pci-e slot, What are the clock speeds on both of them?
Answer #6
on the PNY 325MHz 700MHz ram
gigabyte 350MHz 1000MHz ram
and the price of the 6800 is higher than 6800gt’s, google it and youll see
Answer #7
The best card for the money on agp is the radeon x1650 pro @ ~$60-70. Or Use google shopping and Tom’s Hardware to decide for yourself.

Answer #8
Out of those of course go with gigabyte, If its cheeper then thats a plus.
Answer #9
well i am getting it from ebay (used) so it will be really cheap :p
and the 6800gt is almost the same as the x1650 pro, but the x1650 runs better with anti-alliasing.
so what do you recommend? 6800gt or 1650?
Answer #10
x1650, in the long run it will payoff. If you have the money try not to skimp but otherwise go with the x1650
Answer #11
ah ok

edit: i think i will get the gigabyte, im not an ati fan, nvidia makes better cards. im gona do some more research on those 2 cards

Yeah I prefer nvidia too, I think ATI lacks on clock speed or something I cant remember what they do to deliver a lower price. But your welcome hope you get a card you like.
Answer #13
yea their cards are really cheap and bad.
so i bought battlefield 2 and on the system requirements it says that it will run on ati radeon 9000+ or something and i have 9250, then i got home all excited ready to play bf2 online. i saw the movie and then the game just went away… this really sucks because i could run the game on nvidia fx5200 which is 128mb and is like $30 now. i freakin exchanged that good card with this crap and now all i have to do is get a new one thanks bro! really appreciate your help! 1 more question. lets say i get the 6800gt and i leave my old card on the board, will it add the 256mb like a shared memory?
Answer #14
what do you guys think about the Ati x800 xt All in wonder?
