August 4th, 2016

Just bought this computer accer Amd 5000+ daul core with 2gig ddr2 and 350sata hdd. It comes with vista prem, and a hole lot of crap(trial junk). And i was wondering if i could ghost my computer and then install tinyvista or speedy vista, because im not into all the bells and crap, i just like blane old jane with all my dvd progys and i like areo glass. Another question is after ghosting will all my activation and corp key still be stored on the image? I have the key on the computer but after doing a complet formate on both partitions will i beable to install the ghost image back on if i needed to. I dont wont to viold the warnty so im trying to be smart incase something crashes.

A ghost makes an exact duplicate of your system, so everything will be intact when/if you restore it. To the PC it looks like you never removed it. If you made multiple partitions afterwards, you most likely have to merge them when you restore (automatic, just delete the partitions)

acer did a stupid way of partitioning this. they splet the hdd in half with 2 partions so i have like 2 120gig partitions. my main question was after ghosting will it copy both partitions including vista thats stored on 1 of them. If i ever restore i will just delete all partitions and restore back to this. Will it restore both patitions back?
Answer #3
Yes. Ghost will restore both partitions back but you will have to do them one at a time. Use “Local”, “Partition”, from “Image” and select the partition image you wnat to restore. Restore it, then repeat the operation again this time restoring the other partition image. Image

You can do that in Windows too. Just go to Acer eMpowering technology under Start > all Programs. Choose eRecovery and do a full user backup. this backs up all yoru setttings, installed apps, and OS.

i uninstalled all acer addons. So im going to save with Ghost 2003, i have it burned on disc and booting up, just waiting on other directions about saveing patitions all together (3 partitions). If i need to, i wont the entire hdd restored back just like when i bought it, so im guessing all 3 partitons at onece. Thanks for the fast reply.
