FPS problems in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag

Hey guys, Im sorry if this is the wrong s/reddit but I really need help with my issue: I bought Assassin’s Creed Black Flag and I have a Nvidia Geforce GTX 580Ti GPU, 4GB, W7 Pro 64 bit, Dual core E8400 and I am have performance issues in this game. I had no problems with the previous games, maybe a bit with AC3 but it still ran smooth. Now I have some FPS issues (I think). The game isn’t as smooth as I’d like it to be, even with settings set to low, etc. I have a good computer, its not the strongest beast out there but I believe it should be good for a couple more years before I need to upgrade.
I downloaded the latest drivers and still, I have no idea what to do. Can anyone please help me with this problem? Thank you so much!

Maybe its your cpu thats causing the fps problem.
It also might be the problem with Black Flag. Since I sometime randomly get an fps drop for no reason at all.

you bought the game?did you update the game?you need to update if you havent done that.What is your gpu driver version?

Yeah I bought it.
I didn’t get any updates for the game, usually it installs everything automatically.
I have the latest Nvidia drivers.
