Extracting winrar files: the next volume is needed?!

Okay, so I’ve just downloaded ALL 21 files and I just went to extract them and it says I need the next volume up and for me to insert a disk with that volume, what on earth does this mean???!! Thanks!

what i do is for winrar i high light all the files i have downloaded and then i click extract here

It means:
Either you don’t have all the parts in the same folder…
The file been renamed..
The file is missing…

yeah make sure you have all the correct parts as u download them and in the same directory then highlight them all and extract

You don’t need to highlight them all just to extract. Just clicking on any archive and selecting extract will do the exact same thing.
@: In the folder you stuck all the files, go to View > Details, and check which archive your missing.
If you have all the archives, select any archive and click “Extract Files”, check the box that says “Keep broken archives” and hit okay, see if that helps.

I tried what you said and it still comes up with a message saying that the next volume is needed!! Someone please tell me what to do!

By the way the two parts at the very top are 17 and 19
When I click extract it always says that it needs the next volume… If you don’t understand what I mean then I’ll take a screenshot of the error lol, So what now? Thanks!

they should all have the same file name….. is is asking for part 17??? If so then select it manually. Same for 19.

What it does is it gets half way through the extraction on most of them (on 17 and 19 it comes up with the message straight away) and then it comes up with a message saying “The next level of volume is required, please insert disk with this volume”.

17 and 19 need to be renamed the same as all the other files…The only difference btween them should be the number..

It also looks to me as if part20 is corrupt as it’s not the same size as the others.

Okay, I’ve finally extracted the files… It extracted two files: an MDF file and and MDS file and that’s all… what now?

That’s just another type iso image…Mount with DAEMON Tools Lite or burn with Alcohol…

Thanks! But which one though? The MDF file is 3.99 GB and the MDS file is 4.22 KB

Don’t worry about which one…when you go to browse for the image only one of them will be displayed…Just make sure both files are in the same folder…
