Extend wireless network (with a user identity)

May 6th, 2022

Hi guys,
I m trying to find some info regarding extending a wireless network via wisp.
This network which I d like to extend has an identity and a password. When I log in directly. Everything works fine.
But I can t figure out how to extend this signal.
I m using a tp link wr710n, but also have a dlink dir505
http://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-617.html
The password consists of 6 charachters and is combined with a identity.
***
What I have tried;
Dynamic -> choose the network by survey -> only gives me to input a password wpa grade (minimum 8 charachters) and no place to input ‘identity’.
Static -> can t figure it out
Ppoe -> gives me a username field + password before I even choose a network -> survey picks up the network -> gives me input password and no identity
***
Any ideas how to extend this network?
Thanks for any input

The documentation for every router is different. But basically you want to turn your 2nd router into a wireless access point or extender or repeater depending on what they call it. Google up some searches for whichever router is the 2nd in the chain.
What you want to achieve is having the first router be the DHCP server handing out your internal IPs. With the 2nd router in access point (extender/repeater) mode, the first router will be doing all the work as far as the wireless network is concerned with your password and network name (SSID).
You will need to wire the 1st and 2nd router together. Unless your 2nd router has dual wireless cards where you can use 1 wireless to receive and the other to transmit but I highly doubt that is the case plus you would need a custom router firmware for that. Much easier just to buy a long cat5 or 6 cable. They are fairly cheap.

The first router is hotspot located outside of my home.
Router emulator is located over here;

Could you take a look if possible? The router is WR710N.
