A friend told me i had to install the driver for the videocard…
But what is the driver for the videocart?
I have a Acer Aspire 5920 => Vista Home Premium 32-bit..
thanks in advance!

Answer #1
go to the acer website and download the drivers there or just use the restore discs that came with your laptop
Answer #2
if i would download the restore disk, would it install all the things that aren’t installed?
Answer #3
you have a nVidia GeForce 8600M GT in your laptop (google)
so search the nvidea site for your graphics card or search the acer site for your laptop and see if their are any drivers linked there.

can you download a restore disk? :p he is talking about a software disk that was in your package with your laptop, so search your documention delivered with the laptop, for this disk, if you run this disk i gues it will reinstal programs or put the laptop back into his default settings, don’t know for sure so :p but first try finding your graphics card driver and instal it and check if it works

You gotta watch out there, not all laptops have the same specs. I also have an acer 5920 but mine has a 9400M GT. Just go the the acer webpage to download the drivers, that’s as easy as it can be

Answer #10
just type the model of your laptop into google with video drivers. acer sucks for drivers, and pretty much any kind of support. i had to do the same thing when i first formated my laptop. it will come up with a few choices for vid cards because acer doesn’t always use the same one. so you might have to try a few different ones before you find the right one. just make sure if you get the wrong on uninstall it before you try a different one our it might not recognize it as being correct.
