I downloaded RELOADED release. Everything works fine here, I don’t know why you’re having trouble.
Did you install everything in the Redist folder?
Answer #7
Yes I did. I didn’t download the updates though.

Download Update 2 and see if that fixes the problem.
Answer #9
I will do that thanks!
Answer #10
So I don’t need to download update 1 and 3.
Answer #11
Update 3 is for LAN fixes if you need. I’m not sure if Update 1 is required, but download 1 and 2 to be sure!
Answer #12
Thanks!
Answer #13
I have done a Yahoo search and it seems the game has graphics issues.
Answer #14
I think it has to do with the resolution you’re playing with.
You might have to either wait for a driver release from nvidia to fix this, or wait for the people at Dead Island to release another patch.
Answer #15
Cech the RES and make sure its a good quality rip Try updating to a newer patch
Answer #16
Hey i have this issue too. My specs are:
Dual Core 2.93GHz, 4GB ram, GTX 285 and I play at 1680 x 1050. Tried every resolution, and every patch, and the problem was still there. I got through the prologue where you are at the hotel. After that I can’t play anymore.

you need to try the game at much lower resolution. Lower everything
graphic wise see if any difference
Answer #18
Did you raise the GAMMA slider that comes up at the start? I did that when I first tried the game, raised the slider so I could see the logo, like it said. I was surprised the game looks so bad, all washed out colors and weird bright areas. Turns out the problem was there, the gamma. I put it back to the default setting, in teh middle, and whoah, the game suddenly looked brilliant.
