Couldnt Install Xubuntu :(

I downloaded the alternate cd and burned it into a cd using PowerISO.
I ran the CD and when I selected install, it showed error, some sector error or something, I selected check cd for defects, same error.
I wrote the ISO to another CD, same result.
It mounts fine on virtual drive.
Now, what is the error I am having, what to do now?
I checked the md5hash and it is fine. I burned the disk at3000 KB/s (20x) in PowerISO.
was this the problem?
Please help me.

Had the same problem with Kubuntu :/. Try burning at a slower speed, perhaps that helps. I myself will just wait for the official free cd I ordered

I am using the alternative cd, I dont think that is oderable.
I burned at low speed too, it dint work.

Download again and check MD5.
Try another brand of CD-R.
I did not have any problems using K/Ubuntu.

Burn it somewhere else lol. Maybe your writer is screwing up
