Starting last night and today, my computer will freeze for a bit (ranging from 5-20+), but not completely. I can move my mouse around and animations will still work (like if I’m viewing a website and an ad is at the top, it still plays). I can also continue to receive IMs, and they will pop up, but I can’t click on it. Basically, I can move the mouse but can’t click. I can bring up the start menu with the windows key, but I can’t click anything there either. The only thing I know I can do is manually restart the computer using the power switch. Anyone know what may be the problem? Thanks!
I think you just answered your own question.
“I installed 3 programs yesterday” <—- that is your problem.
One of those programs is messing with you. Try uninstaling l one at a time and see if your system goes back to the prior state. Be sure and reboot
I am just guessing the problem software is –> Your Uninstaller
Or, uninstall all 3 and find a system restore point where your system is running fine. Then start over and making sure the programs dont act up on you again.
GOod Luck
I figured it was one of them, but it didn’t really seem anyone was having problems. I will try it out, thanks!
