Choppy HD videos!

February 7th, 2020

Hey Guys,
Just wondering if adding more RAM to my desktop will fix choppy HD movies? Or is it more complicated than that? Any comments or suggestion would be greatly appreciate.

Answer #1
depends what your specs are at the moment, please post them
Answer #2
Would need to know a few other things, processor, O/S, video card, current RAM, and also what program your using to play and what type of video it is your trying to play
Answer #3
I think the CPU/GPU have more to do with it than the RAM.
Answer #4
Configure the settings of the software you are using for playing the movies OR upgrade the hardware (GPU specially)
Answer #5
Uhh, I didn’t get you.
Answer #6
what are your current system specs.
If they arent very good you will need to use software rendering rather than GPU rendering.
Otherwise upgrade your system.

Answer #14
I can only say with so much going on here, better first clean your pc properly with all the junks you have, clean registry, after cleaning. Check for the latest updates of the codecs, (try K-Lite), Install KMPlayer, & also, just one more thing, ask any IT guide if any Video Card is wanted, as I acn see that your system is not that bad after all, adding 2GB RAM would work good.
Hope this works.
Happy watching.
