Choosing a laptop to buy

Hey guys;
so i am planning to buy a laptop, and i have a budget of 800$…
i don’t care about weight, bulkiness or battery life that much, but i want a powerful machine (the best my budget can buy) for gaming and other power sucking apps…
i was thinking about HP Pavilion dv7-6163cl, but the lack of a blu ray drive is killing me…
anyone got other suggestions? plz share
