Can you play PS3 games via External HDD?

I searched google but didn’t find much, in fact nothing at all

Yes.. You can play PS3 games External if it’s under 4GB I believe but if it’s above it.. you must store it in your internal HDD.
But you need to Jailbreak your PS3 to do so.

Do you mean the whole game? Because that’s not right. I don’t think there are any games under 4gb. I think it’s only if the game has files over 4gb. I have FIFA 11 on my external and that game is 9 gb.

No,Genesis is wrong.
The file size should be less then 4 GB because of the FAT filesystem,not the whole game.

also…. Now you can use a program called Open Split 1.2…. it finds the big fiiles and splits it for you….
Dont use Backup Manager… only use Open Manager. Open split and Open Manager now work together, so when u split and copy a game into your usb….and it doesn’t work and then copy into your internal…. it’ll merge them for you.
