How to play ps3 games from external hard drive?

Hey guys, is it possible to download ps3 games, save them to an external hard drive, and then connect to ps3 and play them? if so, how? I can’t jailbreak b/c i’m currently on 3.60, so i’m wondering if there’s a way without jailbreaking, so i don’t have to wait.

Not possible, bad luck dude, you’ll just have to hope that somebody will JB the 3.60 firmware.

hey there is a way you can play ps3 games at official firmware not custom firmware…the explanation behind the whole thing is that you take a backup from your ps3 and then you transfer the backup to your pc with a usb storage device…then you should download a package file game and afterwards you should inject the package with p3xploit or ps3xport in the backup…then restore the backup to the ps3 should be able to play copy games on official firmware!!!note that it might take 40 minutes for a 10gb game so be patient …depends on your hard drive speed though…if you need any help just pm me(if you havent got a jailbroken device yet)

note that not all games can be work…only specific ones…just download kakarotos hacks and psnstuff database that can enable you to do that…be sure that ban is inevidable in this situation,same as jailbroken PS3s
