Can I download and burn mac OS X 10.6 to fresh install

Hi all, as title said.
Is it possible I could download any snow leopard or even lion … burn it and install to my macbook ?
How if possible..

Yes it is. Please search for the operating system in the search bar, threads will usually contain full step by step guide on how to do so
