Can i delete older versions of .NET framework

Hello,
i need some more space on my 20Gb hard drive
now i was wondering if it’s save to delete Microsoft .NET Framework version 2,0 if i also have version 3,0 ?

Theyre not backwards compatible so no, Lots of applications still target 2.0.

If you get dotNet 3.5 or v4, they include v2 and v3 so those could be deleted. However, it might not save any space, it could increase the hdd usage as M$ stuff does tend to get bigger with each generation.
dotNet v1 is not included in any later dotNet, it you need that it has to be installed prior to the others and might not work on newer versions of Windows. There are still a few cool dotNet 1.1 programs available.
