Can I crack the password of a .rar file?

Title says it all, I have several .rar files now, and I don’t know the password, so I was wondering if it’s possible to extract the files, even tough I don’t know the pass?

Nope. Try putting the download URL in google.

RAR files with passwords are encrypted using AES-128 (Advanced Encryption Standard). Decrypting that with brute-force mechanisms could take a couple of years. Even dictionary attacks will take a long time.

nah you cant .. i have tried it for many many times .. but i couldn’t do it ..

Put the URL into google search, usually a forum will pop up with those links, hopefully the password will be listed unless you .RAR something up yourself and forgot the password.

EDIT: nice! it worked fine for my first archive, just typed it into google, and after a few moments I had found the pass, ty guys:p
