That should not be a problem.
What version of Windows are you running, just asking as eg. 32 bit XP will only be able to use a max HDD of 2TB.

True,There’s a good workaround however:

This comes with the Pro/Server editions of Hard Disk Manager.
Edit: You probably didn’t notice but it’s a pre-order item,Or in other words,Out of stock,Overclockers have it tho:

AFAIK – You cannot use that on an OS Drive, there is also no RAID support, and no provision for using it on externals – you can only use it on internal storage drives.
If your referring to the paragon app your probably right,But the OP never mentioned it’s gonna be used as an OS drive anyhow.

He’s prolly not even using XP, that’s why I didn’t really go into much detail originally incase it confused the issue.
This will also work and is freeware, however I wouldn’t recommend it incase there are software conflicts and data loss

I would recomad you get a USB 64b buffer hdd
Now 2.most MBs have ata slots so get an ata hdd
3.You can build a RAID -whit SATA- configuration whit new hdd has to be the same as old
4.you can get a rack & make old hdd usb hdd & get a sdd as internal to speed up things!
Hey, Thanks for the replies guys and sorry for the late reply.
I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit version.
This hard drive will be an extra hard drive on the system for video files (no operating systems).
To Pierre: I am not looking to build a RAID as I used to have one and didn’t enjoy it, I like how I know my video files are going to remain secure.
Thanks for the replies, I think I will buy it from overclockers as I did notice after I posted that it was a Pre-order.
