Bluescreen Win7
January 30th, 2020
So i’m using Win7 for a while now and I thought of downloading CursorFX and customize the windows a little bit. I had never done it before and i’m not that good with pc’s and all… On the instruction.txt it said I needed to install NEW SID so I did and I also needed to paste a specific SID Code of some kind. (I don’t know what SID is so if anyone could explain it…) Then I installed CursorFX and I needed to restart my pc… So I tried…
But it won’t start up… It gives me a blue screen and restart again…
Anyone know what I can do to fix it?
(I have dual boot with WinXP and that’s what i’m using know)
Thnx in advance
Bump
SID = Security ID It is a unique number assigned to a computer by Windows which Windows uses to alllow access privileges to Windows, apps, drivers, etc. If you change the SID whithout knowing what you’re doing, everything gets out of whack. You get all kinds of problems like blue screens.
Blue Screens are a pain in the ass to troubleshoot and fix.
I recommend you get a little utility called BlueScreenView
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html
What it does is finds out what driver or file possibly caused the Blue Screen crash so you can uninstall or replace it.
Thnx for the reply… Now I have something to look for…
You’re welcome and good luck.
