Best Windows 7 Release.

January 25th, 2020

I will be purchasing a new PC around Christmas time.
As I have never downloaded myself a copy of windows via before I was wondering what the best release is for it to work smoothly.
If there are no good Windows 7 releases then perhaps you could direct me to a good WinXP release…Thanks Very Happy

Answer #1
There are plenty of releases of both.
If you’re not too familar with installing OSes, your best bet would be to get an untouched version, and get it from an uploader with a high post count, (not that that is an absolute guarantee of quality), and also check the replies to see that nobody has had diffculty with it. Don’t download from a newbie thread which has had zero replies, it’s usually just somebody transloading another persons original post.

The best release is the one suitable for your specs…Windows 7 Ultimate if you have a powerful system..Otherwise you need to opt out for a less resources hungry release…
I am not sure..And a bit confused…Are you seeking advice about Windows 7 or XP?
Answer #3
Ok…How exactly does installing 7 work..e.g I know that for the copy of XP I got given by a friend I had to change the key and something else (I cant remember).
@, I wanted to know if there were any good Windows7 releases. If there weren’t then I wanted to know of good XP ones.
These are my soon to be specs…
AMD Dual Core Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition 3.2GHz
GeForce GTS 450
2GB DDR3 RAM
Gigabyte GA-880GM-D2H AMD 880G (Socket AM3) Motherboard

no i mean windows 7 already installed
Answer #7
A lot of new PCs do come with OS pre-installed, but not all of them.
You should find downloads that come ‘fully activated’, but are otherwise untouched.

I’m not sure I get what you mean.. When I get it the HDD will be blank with no OS.

Ok. Thanks for your help Very Happy

Just wondering your budget is 500,- ?
I’m not sure you can handle W7 Ultimate smoothly, but I’m sure you will run W7 Home Premium smooth.
Please, don’t install windows XP. Not because it’s a bad OS(secondly I think it is the second best OS that Microsoft published).

Answer #12
Get a BIE Enterprise version … perfect install, perfect crack. Smile
You’ll find one on wzor.net
It’s the one I’m currently using and it works fine, it’s a torrent download but wzor have been going from the year dot and are very reliable. Wink
Don’t worry about the state of their site at the moment, they got hacked a few months ago and lost everything, but the guys who run it have been doing virtually since the internet started. Wink
