MPC-HC is no match for a properly customized PotPlayer.

i have used vlc in the past and am not a fan, in regards to the customization of the PotPlayer, what kind of customizing can you do?
also i downloaded the PotPlayer x64 but it is the mini version, are they all like this?
Gave up playing mkv on the pc and bought one of these for the tv. simples just drag and drop ya film on a usb stick and play on said device.

VLC Media Player works beautifully for MKV files.
vlc and/or potplayer are by far the best choices imo

Yes, that is correct one…There is a ‘live’ version bit that is only used with PotPlayer website for streaming,which is only of use if you are Korean.
The player works fine ‘out of the box’,with GPU acceleration, but if you want to customize then look at this article..

I think Media Player Classic is the one to go with. I’ve used it for god knows how long.

Just a note to the OP: CCCP is not another player choice, it’s a collection of codecs (stuff you need to “uncompress” movies, if you will) and it includes the player MPC-HC.
Tried most have to agree with randomnoob CCCP with windows media player saves having multiple players.
i use vlc, mpc or gom to play my files and it usually works great.. i havent tried the other players tho.. but i like what i have now.. i dont get any problems

All i was suggesting was that wmp is more than capable of mkv plaback as long as you have dowloaded the combined community codec pack,i have vlc,quick time player and media player classic installed myself but rarely use them.
