Answer #1
Personally, I don’t use any antivirus and I’ve yet to get one for over 2 years, I think anyone can get away with no having one if they know what they are downloading.

Bitdefender is good enough. Never put all your eggs in 1 basket though. If in doubt, get a 2nd opinion. MBAM, Hitman Pro, SuperAntispyware.. whatever..
No matter what AV you use.. if you click on dodgy websites you will get a virus. No AV is 100%. As TCD said, common sense is far more important.
Answer #4
ESET, Kaspersky, MSE, Avast!, Avira
Answer #5
Depends, if you have Windows 8.x, Windows Defender is pretty good. If you have 7/Vista or XP, I would go for one of the following: Bitdefender/Kaspersky/ESET Smart Security/Avast. As said, a second opinion is always good, so Malwarebytes Anti-Malware or Hitman Pro would be my second opinion choices.
Answer #6
Kaspersky internet security or Pure. I get those oem versions.

Answer #8
I vote avast!
but (as said earlier) it’s always good to have backups, because no antivirus will completely keep you safe.
stick with bitdefender, use some common sense and make a linux live usb just in case your vigilance falters
Answer #9
Been using the free Microsoft Security Essentials and have no problems with it. Block a few viruses here and there when opening attachments.
