Battlefield 2 problem
September 28th, 2013
I have had battlefield 2 (pre-installed) for years now, and I had it stored on a portable hard drive.
Now I recently had the hard drive scanned for corruptness, (a folder was corrupt), and I decided I would play BF2 again.
So I copied the game onto my own hard drive, and it started fine – normal.
But then I go onto SP, (after making a new user) and click any map (yes I tried them all), click on ‘play’ and the game shuts down….it worked fine a while ago.
Should I re-download the ISO?

Should I re-download the ISO?
If you are willing to that is. You can get a RIP to save bandwidth.
I had a similar problem to this, but not sure if it’s the same. It was something about the game not optimised for Dual Core CPU’s.
Try setting how many cores the game should run.
Launch the game > Windows Task Manager > bf2.exe (or whatever process it’s called) > Set Affinity.. > Uncheck everything except CPU 0.
Hope that works. If not, patch the game.
